1000 Likes Celebration Spotlight on Faith Gibson

amberauthorbiofaiths pic

Faith Gibson lives outside Nashville, Tennessee with the love of her life, and her two-legged best friends. She began writing in high school and over the years penned many stories, and poems. When her dreams continued to get crazier than the one before, she decided to keep a dream journal. Many of these night-time escapades have led to a line, a chapter, and even a complete story.

When Faith isn’t penning her crazy ideas, she is either reading, riding her Harley, or playing trivia while consuming craft beer.

Publisher: Dark Hollows Press
Self Published

Q: What inspired you to start writing?
A: I’ve been writing since I was a teenager. I just have so much rolling around in my head I need to get it out and make room for more.

Q: What is your favorite genre to write? Read?
A: My favorite to write is paranormal. With it you can make stuff up and it be legitimate. When you design the world your characters live in, there are only the rules you make up. I read all genres with the exception of historical. Those are boing.

Q: What will we find on your bookshelves?
A: I have several authors that I have collected every book they’ve written, including Sherrilyn Kenyon, Karen Marie Moning and Janet Evanovich. I have the Cassandra Claire series and Harry Potter. There are various other books spread out over several genres.

Q: What writer/Book speaks to your soul?
A: There are several but Kristen Ashley and all her books, especially the Rock Chick series

Q: Why?
A: I love the Hot Bunch and how they take care of the ladies. Yes, the chicks are strong too but all of her heros are the shit.

Q: What was your inspiration for the book?
A: For Double Stuffed Eclairs, I had written the prequel, Candy Hearts, for an anthology. I knew I would eventually make a longer story for Jesse and Dean but Annie was whispering in my ear about wanting her own story. So I (she) told it.

Q: Do you write from your own experiences?
A: Not yet. Most of what I write comes from dreams.

Q: Do you listen to music for inspiration when writing?
A: Sometimes, usually the music comes from the characters though.

Q: What type?
A: Again, it depends on the characters. They all listen to their own stuff so I will listen to that genre when I’m focused on a certain character.

Q: Which of your books/characters relates most to you?
A: That would be Tessa. You will meet her in the The Stone Society”. Tessa is a foul-mouthed redhead who rides a Harley.

Q: What message, if any, would you like readers to get from your book?
A: In my gay books, I want the message to be Love is Love. There is not enough love in the world and people should be able to love whomever they want with no repercussions.

In the other books, I just want everyone to be entertained. My books are otherworldly and hopefully fun. Take a break from reality and enjoy the ride.

Q: What book do you wish you had written yourself?
A: Harry Potter. It is bloody brilliant. I solemnly swear I’m up to no good.

Q: What would you like readers to know about you?
A: I write because I enjoy it. I would love one day to be among the ranks of Kristen Ashley and Sherrilyn Kenyon and Harper Sloan. But if only one person reads my books and enjoys them as much as I do, I’ve accomplished what I set out to do. Entertain.

Q: What are you working on now?
A: The Stone Society is a shape shifter series. Rafael is the first book and it is for sale as I type this. I have finished Grego, Book 2. Release date is February 10, 2015.

Genre specific questions

Q: What draws you to paranormal?
A: the different worlds. With paranormal the sky (or the universe) is the limit. Things don’t have to be “real” to be interesting and in writing paranormal I can make up my own worlds and my own rules.

Q: What paranormal entity would you
A: a Gargoyle. They look human, they can eat and drink, and they can walk around in the daylight unlike vampires. And they usually live forever.

Q: What paranormal abilities do you wish you had?
A: Shimmering from one place to another and flying

●Bad Boys/Girls piercings and Tats

Q:Do you Have any tattoos or piercings?
A: ears pierced, 10 tats

Q: IRL, do you like a partner with tattoos or piercings?
A: if it suits them. My husband has neither and I’m okay with that

Q: What draws you to the Biker/MC scene?
A: It’s a brotherhood/family unlike any other.

Q: Do you ride? What kind of bike?
A : I ride a Harley Street Glide :

Q: Do you prefer to ride your own bike or do you ride “bitch”?
(Asked with respect)
A:my own. Nobody puts baby in a corner or faith on the back

Q: Do you play a musical instrument?
A: Yes

Q: If yes, what do you play?
A: I play the hell out of the air drums.
