Theresa Martin’s Review: 4.5 Stars ~★★★★.5
In this book, you get to know more about Jonas’ and Lilly’s pasts, and get answers to some of the questions from the first book. After calling off her arrangement with Jonas, and having endured a brutal attack, Lily finds herself being comforted and looked after by Dani, David, and Ian, Jonas’ ex-wife, driver, and friend. Jonas respects her wish for more space, but he still cares for her, and wants her to be a part of his life. He can’t give her more than a physical relationship, even though he’s developing deeper feelings for Lily.
But not everyone wants to see Jonas and Lily together. The reappearance of Lily’s ex-fiancé, Declan puts her in his crosshairs once more. Ian wants Lily for himself, and Melissa—a former companion of Jonas—is working hard to rekindle their relationship, and snag him down the aisle.
After taking some time off to help her best friend back in her hometown, Lily makes a very important decision regarding her and Jonas. There is a redefinition of their arrangement, and they carefully move forward with one another. There are bumps in the road, but they find they need to have faith in each other if they are going to survive as a couple. Try as they might, Jonas and Lily can’t stand being without the other.
Jonas’ brother and mother bring some drama to this story, and also add more pieces to the puzzle of his life.
There is definitely more to come in the next installment, and I look forward to seeing where it takes Jonas and Lily.
I received this ARC for an honest review, and I give it 4.5 stars.

This is the second book in this series and picks up right where the first one left off. I am really enjoying Amelie S. Duncan’s writing style, and the direction she is taking the characters. She definitely took me on more of an emotional roller coaster this time around.
I have to admit that I was frustrated with the main character, Lily at times, but given the circumstances it was understandable. I’m hoping she becomes a stronger woman in the next book. Jonas is as swoon-worthy as he was in the first book if not more so. I still need more of him though. As far as some of the other characters, Melissa and Natasha? I would have liked to have reached through my Kindle and smacked both of them. And Declan, her ex? Oh, there’s a special place just for guys like him and it gets really, really hot there. I hope he gets what he deserves and soon. Paul, Jonas’ son, literally had me chuckling out loud. I would love to hear more about him once he’s a little older. You know, when he’s of legal age to drool over.
I give 4 stars to Tiger Lily part 2 and I cannot wait for the next book to come out!
*I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
Amélie S. Duncan writes contemporary, erotic romances with a dark edge. Her inspiration comes from many sources including her life experiences and travels. She lives on the West Coast of the United States with her husband.
Tiger Lily Book 1
Lily Salomé has encountered more challenges than the average twenty-four year old. After a horrendous crash killed her parents, an abusive relationship was all she needed to calcify her broken heart to stone. So when Lily’s boss comes to her with a challenge most girls would balk at, she knows there isn’t much left in this world to be afraid of.
The target: Jonas Crane, a brooding business mogul who hasn’t smiled once since his divorce. Dark, dangerous and mouthwatering, Crane has written a book about life in the fast lane and with the recent publicity, Lily’s boss wants the rights. Problem is, Crane won’t return a phone call, let alone agree to a meeting. But if a pretty publishing assistant happens to run into him at the Waldorf, with a business card and a smile…what could go wrong?
A lot, it seems. Lily thinks she’s going to the Waldorf to meet a rich jerk, or worse, a playboy, but the truth is way more challenging. Jonas Crane is smart, engaging…and devastatingly out of her league.

I really enjoyed this book. Jonas and Lily are apprehensive about relationships, and their past plays a significant role in their arrangement. When Jonas meets Lily, he understands she has ulterior motives, yet he’s intrigued by her. Jonas is single-minded in his determination to have Lily, and she sees something in him that pulls her toward him, even when her head tells her otherwise. This is the first book in this series, and I am anxiously waiting for the next one.

This is the first book I have read by author, Amelie S. Duncan, and it won’t be the last. It took me a few chapters to really sink my teeth in, but after that I couldn’t wait to see where the relationship between Lily and Jonas was going to go. I also liked how she conveyed the lasting effects domestic violence can have on a person even when they are in a different relationship.
I found myself really relating to Lily and her body issues. Due to her ex fiancé, Declan, constantly putting her down throughout their relationship, she can’t see how beautiful she is as a curvy woman. And unfortunately there are times when words can be so much more harmful than any fist could ever be. Jonas tries to convey how much he desires her, but he finds that it can be quite challenging at times. I hope to learn more about Jonas in the second book coming out soon. And Dani? She’s Jonas’ ex-wife and I’m sure there are plenty of people out there wishing they had an ex like her [which was actually very refreshing].
I give 4 stars to Tiger Lily #1 and I am really looking forward to more from this author.

First off I have to apologize to Amélie S. Duncan. While scrolling through my books on my Kindle I found this ARC and it should have been read earlier this month and somehow I had missed it. Thank you so much for allowing me to read Tiger Lily!I loved reading Tiger Lily! This is Jonas & Lily’s (Tiger Lily) story. It was an enjoyable book that carries a very big message about physical abuse (from another relationship). I can’t go into it because I don’t do spoilers but, this is a tough subject and Amélie handles it well.
Wow what an ending! There is a cliffhanger but, it isn’t too bad of one. But, it left me wanting to read more for sure!
I am now hooked and can’t wait to read more from Amélie. I am hoping I don’t have to wait much longer for the next book!
This ARC was received for an honest review. And, as always I love my job as a blogger. It allows me my passion and the love of reading.

And, a note to Amélie S. Duncan I have already pre-ordered your next book. Can’t wait to read!
