Jackson and Sylvia are back in the third and final part of J. Kenner’s sizzling erotic trilogy. You definitely don’t want to miss how their story ends!
Jackson Steele and Sylvia Brooks are back in the powerful finale of a provocative, sizzling-hot new erotic trilogy set in the world of J. Kenner’s beloved Stark novels: Release Me, Claim Me, andComplete Me.
He’s the only man I’ve ever loved, and the one man I can’t bear to lose.
Jackson Steele is my light in this world. Charismatic, bold, and always in control, he knows what he wants and how to get it—and absolutely nothing stands in his way. His hold on me is magnetic, his claim on me complete, his kiss my ultimate escape.
We both harbor dark secrets that could tear our lives apart. Though we’ve tried to bury our pasts, there are certain people who won’t let us forget. But the closer danger comes, the brighter the fire between us burns—our ecstasy consuming and soothing us both.
There’s no telling what lies ahead, but I know that Jackson never gives in without a fight. I’d do anything he wants to keep him safe, give him anything he needs. And now that we’re in deep, nothing can make me run.
Under My Skin is intended for mature audiences.
Nikki K’s Review
This couple has gone through hell to be together, and they prove once again in Under My Skin that nothing can stand in their way. The revelation of secrets in the first story threatened to tear them apart, and in this edition, the threat of those secrets going public pushes their limits, but their love is one for the ages.
Jackson and Sylvia continue to have a sex life that makes me swoon. Sylvia is able to give more of herself over to Jackson, and he willingly accepts. When life gets too dark and intense, they lock the world out and find solace in each others arms.
One of the reasons I am drawn to the Stark Novels is the intrigue wrapped up in the love story. And this book does not disappoint.
That being said, I have to admit I enjoyed Say My Name more than this book. However, this is still a good read. I must also confess, I have not read the second book as I did not have time to fit it in prior to reading this one. While I may have missed some details from the second book, It was very easy for me to follow the storyline.
Throughout the book, I found myself having aha moments plot points from the trilogy are revealed and questions answered. J Kenner has done a superb job of tying up all of the loose ends and leaving no stone unturned. I thank the author for finishing this trilogy as she did; it ended as I would have hoped.
I rate this book a solid 4 stars and recommend it to anyone with a penchant for angsty, sexy love stories.
**I received a complimentary copy of this book for an honest review.
She slams the door shut, the limo pulls back out onto the street, and I am left beside Jackson who sits perfectly, dangerously still.
I swallow, my skin prickling from the rising heat.
I’m breathing hard, my breasts rising and falling. My skin is warm, and beads of perspiration have gathered at the nape of my neck.
He turns his head slowly, his eyes meeting mine, wild and feral and hard. There’s a hungry glint to them, and for a moment I fear that he will tear me to pieces. That I will truly stand as proxy for the bastards who leaked the news. For the fear that I know must be consuming him, just as it is consuming me.
But haven’t I repeatedly told him that I can handle it, no matter how bad it gets? That I will be his release valve, his safety net?
That I’ll willingly take in his pain—and then we’ll turn it around into passion.
I am still holding his gaze, and I feel locked in place simply from the force of his will. He has not touched me, and though we haven’t spoken, I know that he will not until I acquiesce. Not tonight. Not when he needs to push. To go as far as he needs, and then some.
“Yes,” I say.
A muscle twitches in his cheek, but he doesn’t otherwise move, nor does he say a word to me. He simply watches me for one beat, then another. It is as if he is sizing me up, testing my resolve. I stay where I am, looking back at him. But slowly—very slowly—I part my thighs.
Jackson sucks in a breath through his nose. Then he twists at the waist so that he can reach the intercom button. He jams his finger down on it.
“Don’t go home, Edward.” His voice is hard. Tight with control. “Just drive. I don’t care where. Just drive until I tell you to stop.”
