Pulled Under by Sarah Darlington
: a grown man who is very immature, therefore considered a man-child
: a promiscuous man who has no regard for his sexual partners or the emotional value of his relationships
Rhett Morgan couldn’t have been more wrong for me. The guy drank beer in the shower, for crying out loud. He had no prospects for the future, had slept with half the women in our beach town of Kill Devil Hills, and had no desire to change his manwhore ways.
And when Ben Turner, the guy I had loved from afar for the past four years, died and I couldn’t get over his death, I desperately needed a distraction. A distraction like Rhett. So I used him for a one-night stand. Because, after all, that’s the only thing a guy like Rhett is good for…right?
***New Adult Romance. This novel is the third book in the Kill Devil Hills series, however it can be read as a standalone. Recommended for 18+

Reviews by Tanya R, Shannon P, Lita T.:
Tanya R’s Review: 4.5 ★★★★.5 You need to read Kill Devil Hills and Changing Tides before you read Pulled Under. I really enjoyed this book and I read it in less than a day. Goodreads says that there are only about 131 pages so it is a fairly fast read. This is Sydney Francesca Michaels & Rhett Morgan’s story. I love that Rhett is a “man-whore”. He is even remembered in High School by some of the teachers. He is a legend in promiscuity. I think that there are many men if they could be promiscuous they would be.Sydney thought she would use Rhett and I say “what is good for the goose is good for the gander as the saying goes”. Although, it didn’t work out that way. And, the story continues from there. I can’t say more because I don’t do spoilers. I did get my HEA. Well sort of Pulled Under left off where you know there will be another book and I can’t wait to read more!I received a complimentary copy of Pulled Under by Sarah Darlington for an honest review and I give Pulled Under 4.5 stars and I am looking forward to the next book. Shannon P’s Review: ★★★★ Do you remember the guy that everyone warned you against, saying he was a man-whore and player? I think we all remember THAT guy. That’s Rhett Morgan. He’s good looking, funny, charming, oozes sex appeal, and he knows it. But let’s be honest, how many of us were able to actually resist that guy? No matter how fleeting we knew it would be, we still wanted a chance to play the game. Always hopeful to come out as the winner. Sydney is your typical good girl, but she is able to do what others girls haven’t been able to. She plays the player, and she does it well. So what happens when it’s no longer a game and real feelings are involved? Do you allow yourself to get pulled under just for the chance at the bigger win…love? Pulled Under is the next installment in the Kill Devil Hills series by Sarah Darlington. This is the story of Rhett and Sydney and the timeline runs parallel to the previous two books which I really enjoyed. I have to say that this one is my favorite in the series so far. I could relate to these two characters more, and they made me laugh at times which is always a plus for me. The chemistry between the two of them was off the charts and well written.
I give 4 stars to Pulled Under and I can’t wait to read more from Sarah Darlington.
*I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Lita T’s Review: ★★★★ Pulled Under (Kill Devil Hills, #3) by Sarah Darlington. Rhett has a reputation and not a very good one. We know Rhett from the previous books. This is his and Sydney’s story. Sydney has had a crush on Ben for years. When she was 16 she walks in on Ben in the gym having sex with his girlfriend. Devastated she finds herself being consoled by the town manhore Rhett, who makes her feel special by being her first kiss. He gives her a note that says to come back to see him when she in no longer jail bait. At 18 she seeks Rhett out after Ben’s death and funeral. Their story is told while it intersects with the last book Changing Tides. We get to see what happened from their perspective plus their own journey. A real good continuation of the story. All the regular cast of characters are mention in the book. Going back to scenes from the last book was like visiting a place you enjoyed but hadn’t been in a while. I liked both Rhett and Sydney and their journey to each other. I also liked Rhett and his journey to becoming the person he has wanted to be and to have a more fulfilling life. I was disappointed when the book ended and I look forward to the next book which I hope gives us more of Rhett and Sydney. I give their story 4 stars
